A new 6 lane single level viaduct, 80 feet high, built beside the Alaskan Way in only 3 years, without first demolishing the existing viaduct, without interrupting traffic, without disruptions to business and transportation amounting to Billions. All for less than $500 Million not counting demolition and mitigation.
Construction conveys 39 large spans onto 40 foundation column pairs placed every 200 feet beside the old viaduct. The roadbed trusses have to be steel, are slender, beautiful, and rust protected with ducted warm air. Then, finally, the old viaduct is demolished.

A COVERED PARK 108 feet wide, 1.5 miles long with electric trams, grass, flowers, sheltered park settings for picnics and events.
